Associate Attorney - Associate Attorney - Estate Planning/Trust Admin - Full Time OR Part Time (Auburn, CA)
A. L. Harvey Law, a boutique law firm, is looking for a personable attorney to join our team. Experience in estate planning, specifically trust administration, is necessary and in business law is desirable. The minimum amount of experience to qualify is one year. This individual MUST be extremely organized, professional and self sufficient. This position will include transactional work and may include litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients on the administration of trusts
- Track deadlines and file appropriately
- Work with other professionals on behalf of clients
- Negotiate on behalf of clients in various legal matters
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Attend meetings and conferences with clients and other attorneys
- Assist with legal administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong research and writing skills
- Proficiency in legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Experience working with cloud based applications
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in specific areas of law relevant to the firm's practice areas
- Familiarity with local court rules and procedures
